Just wanted to share some north and south view pics of our low low tide this week.
Notice the high tide weed line. All that is normally underwater.
I believe this was Tuesday or Wednesday.

all pics taken by and credit given to j.r.jarboe

The waves have beat me and Fluffy to death this week. :BangHead:
Can you spot the tekker cat in the litter box? :laughing7:

I had no plans of getting in the water that day, thus no cat suit...... :laughing7:
I did end up going in up to my waist, still it was "ruff", bawr! :BangHead: :laughing7: :cat:

Lol!! Warmer than here!!!

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!!!

The wind and waves have been rough. I thought my legs and feet were sunburned....nope, just sand blasted to near raw. Sunblock doesn't help with that at all. First time I've experienced skin erosion...lol.

Definitively warmer than here, but the waves look mean. Hope you'll have some find to post, low tides bring sometimes cool surprises. HH!

yes but with the high wind factor and massive low tide --the chances of finding long lost Spanish / French coins was never better..

From your lips to Gods' ears! :notworthy:

I WISH! I'm down in Lauderdale/Miami area, the pic's actually Hollywood beach (not 1715 coast).

We are so sanded in, everything is buried deep, (other than what maybe falls outta the shifting beach sand).
I did catch a 14k mans band that day (right on the first low tide lip dip, I think it was a fresh drop), BUT, it took 8 hours of hunting, AND, it was in the LAST PLACE I looked! dang it..... lol. :laughing7:

I'd post a pic, but my camera/computer/program not functioning, atm. :BangHead:

8 hours of hunting
Only a Cat could do that......4.... and I'm done, 6 they have to carry me off the beach.. 8.... I would be shark bait.

yes she is a "hit it hard" type hunter

Awww, it's not so much that..... more like, once I get everything in the car, get all the way down there, find parking, get catsuited up, get in the water, now I'm wet, gonna hafta wash everything anyway......
so let's tekker some...... :hello2: :laughing7:

Then, I get hungry, stop by my gyro shop, get some warm pita bread, tzarziki sauce, with a side of the best Taboulli on the beach, well, plus I gotta walk back now, lol, so there's another 4 hours.
Finish the day of with some humus, more warm pita bread, and a strawberry daiquiri...... :D
It's a rough job, but someone's gotta do it..... :BangHead: :laughing7:

It's getting all the equipment, cat suit, boots, bag, machine, me etc.... back home and cleaned up afterwards.... :BangHead:
I'll be glad for summer, no more dang catsuit..... :laughing7:

I also pick up the neat seashells and corals to put in my flower beds for weed control.
Plus, they look cool. :cat:

So after seeing the fella in the last picture MDing in the back ground I have to ask.

I'm the only fella there detecting, that I could see..... :icon_scratch:

That fella in the white shorts bending over is collecting seashells. Is that the one you talking about?

I found that gold band Monday, just petty junk stuff Tues & Wed, sterling hoop earring, weighs less than a feather..... change, coins, it wasn't easy, I had business on the beach those 3 days, so hey, take Fluffy to work..... :laughing7:

Looks like he has a shaft in his right hand, but yes the one just before the surf bent down.

He may have been a fisherman, too, digging for sand flea bait. They can only fish on the beach early morning or late evening.
A lot of ppl bring digger scoops and such for seashell collecting or to get bait.
