I saw a picture of the entire group. $6k is way over the top. A lot of the coins are barely discern-able as cobs. The ocean does a number on them. Same with the ones I have found up north here.

We see that just a few coins found, would make news,
especially if they are very old Silver and GOLD,
where THEY would get everybody's attention...!!

Would I have the same position as him? That would really depend on my financial situation at the time of finding something like that. I would like to say "yes" but...reality is when times are tough things get sold...I've had so many items that were special to me because of their history and my interests, but had to sell the stuff at different times. I value history, but I also have to survive....I think that's what you were meaning by the question?
