Florida question

I will be in Orlando for a week soon and was wondering if there were any close places to detect (within 2 hrs.) I was wanting to hunt one of the wreck beaches but i might be to far.
Any ideas?

The beaches of the Space Coast are less than an hour from the Orlando International Airport taking the Beachline expressway. These beaches include world famous Cocoa Beach, and miles of outstanding beaches. You can get to the beaches of the Treasure Coast in about an hour and a half, starting with Wabasso Beach, and the treasure beaches stretch south down to Jupiter.
The beaches are packed with beach goers this time of year, and the hunting is excellent.

New Symrna and the Treasure Coast beaches have been renourished with many feet of fresh sand.
We have had no major storms in the last year that has done anything to help us on our hunting, the last storm hit us at the wrong angle and did nothing for moving out the sand.

It is the beginning of tourist season though, and fresh drops are what we are finding mostly.

Let me know when your in Orlando and maybe we can get together for a hunt. I live in Orlando and try to hit the beaches once a week at the least......

I'll be in the Orlando/Davenport area all Summer working at a church here. If I can find some free time (so far I've been working 7 days out of 7 each week since I've been here), I'd really like to get out and detect a little. I have no leads at all for this area, and it just seems to be either swamp or desert area around here. Guess it's like Florida used to be, with nothing but gated communities spread all around out here in the middle of no where. lol! My only hope is finding some old abandoned home sites... as well as the huge MASSIVE live oak trees that are all over here.
