Such great finds! Good show!
Tickled to see others find a Flying Eagle Cent!
I found one in Connecticut that was unread-able,
save for the shape of the eagle....! (see?)

Must be the SOIL out NE, real-hard-on-those-coins!
My coin Red Book says that the FE coins have
.880 copper and .120 nickel in them...

Be interesting to see if other FE coins found out NE, fare as well or badly...????

Very nice trapper!

Nice group of finds! A flying eagle is a nice coin to dig, don't see many posted (haven't ever dug one myself). Congrats

Nice! My 1858 FE cent was in about the same condition!

Nice collection of finds!

Nice find on that Flying Eagle Art. They are far & few between.

Nice set of finds! Congrats on the FE. Tough coin to find.

Best of luck to you!

Nice finds Art, the metal composition on those eagles does not hold up well in the dirt, copper nickel, just like those darn V nickels.

Congratz on your 2 cents! :laughing7:
Those are 2 good ones though, an early IHP and a FE! I'm guessing the FE will always be on my bucket list!
