Flying out to Colorado today and want to bring pan - not sure what rules are on the p

Hi,
Does anyone have experience bringing ther gold pan and classifier on the plane? My daughter already has my sluice box at her house in Colorado so I just need my pan and classifier. Wanted to see if it is ok to keep it attached to the outside of my back pack or is it not allowed? I will be staying in Littleton, Co and was also wondering if ther is a prospector supply store in that area.

Take a picture and send it to TSA on Instagram they will give you response almost immediately

If your pack and pan are going to be "carry on" the pan could be considered an extra item being outside the pack. Just a thought.
