Folks, Jerry Butler - So far away......

Folks,

Another one.....only the strong survive.

Here's my vote for his #1:
If you were dating during this era, this song and "One Summer Night" could clinch any deal--I wont elaborate.
Don.

Don,

Yup....that one will do the trick....Jerry + Betty Everitt let it be me.....was another classic also.

I suppose those are all Canadians too?

BTW, howdy Bill. Isn't this your nap time?

jeff,

Nope....Jerry + Betty are both from the good old USA.....you folks have some great music also.....just giving some equal time to both sides of the border.

I suppose those are all Canadians too?

Hmmm ! I like the first 3 :icon_thumright:
Don't remember his name or his songs, if they are his.

I say this because the one I don't like "Let It Be Me" is not his.

as per wiki

is a popular song originally published in 1955 as "Je t'appartiens". The score was written and first recorded by Gilbert Bécaud. The lyrics were penned in French by Pierre Delanoë.. The English language version used lyrics by Mann Curtis and was performed in 1957 by Jill Corey in the television series Climax!.Corey's version, with orchestration by Jimmy Carroll, was released as a single and was moderately successful. The most popular version of "Let It Be Me" was released in 1960 by The Everly Brothers. It reached 7th position on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] The harmony arrangement of this version was often emulated in subsequent remakes.

but then everything performed by The Everly Brothers sucked :laughing7:
