Foot Hill camps of the big nuggets

Hi All In recent trips to the back hills of Castlemaine not far from where the the "Heron Nugget" was found in 1855 . At 1008 ozs i might dream but the truth is after 70 years of gold mining only small gold and the relics lost is all that is left to be found. each camp area we have been hunting has something different. From German, English and Chinese and American gold miner's. Lot of finds and site pics.

Nice collection tinpan , Gold is hard to find these days , but finding relics kinda makes it interesting and not a total loss .. cheers Mick
