For LakeShore Searching Coil Size

What coil size is best for lakeshore searching (from the water side)?
I see the detector I want comes in 8" and 10.5" coil sizes.

the water creates a lot of drag the smaller one might not be as tireing both should work

Personally I would go with the smaller coil. It allows you to get around pilings and rocks easier than the larger coil. It's a personal choice.
