Well I've been on a serious dry spell and really wish it would let up! But in the meantime I thought I would share something I found informative and pretty cool that the local archeologists group is doing in Western NC. November 9, UNC-Chapel Hill's R. P. Stephen Davis, Jr. Associate Director, Research Laboratories of Archaeology Adjunct Professor, Department of Anthropology, will explain how 3D models are created and discuss some of the ways UNC’s Research Laboratories of Archaeology has harnessed this technology for education and public outreach. "My goal is to demystify the photogrammetry process to the point that members of the audience, if so inclined, will feel comfortable in creating their own 3D models." See below the link to the 3D models. I've found some pieces of pottery similar to what is in the models.

Anyway since I can't share anything due to my dry spell I figured sharing information might help others who are unsure about their pottery finds, to understand a little better, enjoy! https://sketchfab.com/rla-archaeology/collections/burke-series-pottery

Me too! All summer, it's hit all around but has dodged us consistently.

Ive had so much rain in the last year you cant hunt due to all the weeds and depths. Then it pushes back harvest cause the soil is to wet. Been a terrible year
