Thought this might be the right place to post what I found.

It seems Florham Park was home to a notorious counterfeiter who worked out of a shack on an island in a swamp. The location is somewhere west of 310 Columbia Turnpike. I can't find any information online that isn't this article. The modern satellite maps show one promising location, but I doubt I'll ever put in the field work to check it out.
