Forget dumping, split your rolls and tape?

Tried it today. It took me about 45 min to do $500, but now they are in the box ready to go. In the past there were times where I have waited 30 min for the coin machine to get emptied. I am wondering if this is the way to go..

Anyone else?

TD in my area only does $100 at once (what you all on the forum told me), so I thought I would give this a try. Not too bad I guess, and maybe over time I can get a little quicker.

Went to TD today with $500 rolled and $1K loose, and opened my free "Holiday" account.

No luck with the rolled halves - had to open and dump in the machine. The machine held $500 in each bag, so that wasn't a bad deal. They told me there is another guy that comes in every day and dumps halves, so I am not alone in that area - there are tons of banks, so not really worried, plus they told me where he gets his coins from..

Only took maybe 10 min to dump all $1.5K. Not bad.
