The grasses have grown like bonkers due to our rainfall this year so detecting on land was tough thus I had to pick my spots that I could swing the coil. Once I hopped into the water to find the goodies, my detector decided to quit on me after about 15 minutes. 
The site is historical, so I had to gain permission from adjacent landowners to detect. It's not much but I did manage to find a knapsack hook and a small lead pistol ball. Then as I was driving home, I was rewarded with a nice sunset shot.
