I'm not sure where is the best place to post this, but I would like to suggest a forum called 'Desert' or 'Desert Detecting,' then under that have subforums such as Mining Camps, Railroad Camps, Stagecoach Stations, Railway Stations, Pony Express Stations and I'm sure there are other things that are not immediately coming to mind.

Maybe have subgroups gor each state in the Southwest.
 
Another suggestion.

When reading comments on YouTube videos that have to do with the desert or reading Reddit comments about the desert, I noticed people often post very interesting and unexplainable stories of things they have experienced while they were in the desert. Things such as bizarre creatures and sounds. Also the sound of somebody calling their name, walking back the exact same path they took and the path leads somewhere else, etc.

I find these stories to be fascinating and surely people who have detected in the desert have their own stories.

So I would like to suggest a subforum called 'Bizzare encounters' or 'Unexplainable' or something like that.

By having this subforum, we can learn from each other and also increase awareness about these things.
 
I have requested a new subforum under Metal Detecting Forum titled "Desert Detecting". Not enough traffic to really justify 5 subforums under Desert Detecting right now.
