Concretion

Like GatoBoy said concretion. Which means rock formed around a fossil. So to see the fossil you would have to cut open/into the rock. Being careful not to damage what ever is inside.

Doubtful that it contains anything.
It is most likely remnants of an old trace fossil such as a burrow. Have you ever seen a crayfish ball up mud?

Bone2stone

Could be a concretion~ no not all concretions are formed around fossil materials, few are and some are simple casts~ or it could be a coprolite. Hard to tell but it is an interesting geometry ;)
