Hit the beach with full rain gear today. After doing a little recon, IMG_1093.webpIMG_1089.webpIMG_1091.webp seeing heavy sand everywhere with little erosion, I suited up.
And it just poured for the next three hours I was on the beach. Stayed busy with a lot of targets. Managed one 58-D Rosie, 40-S Wheat and these Elephant Coins with a red dot. The Elephant Coins have been discussed on Tnet. They are made of lead but what's the story on 'em?

nice pile of umm stuff

thanx for the So . CA report ! There was a beach here @ Monterey bay that had a 6 ft. cut overnight. I got 259 coins, of which 9 were silver. Some V's , a buffalo, an IH, etc.... Today (swell continues) I will be scouting for more touristy beaches with better ring ratios !
