Found 1785 Lifesavers Honor Badge

Went to a beach back in May about 10 miles from my house and was searching way out in the mud when I came across this honor badge.
It's my third oldest find so far. It was awarded by the Humane Society of MA. Hope you like the pic.

I believe the date is just signifying the year the society was founded, the relic is most likely much newer.

Look up the society on the net, Bet that's the date it was founded, Don't think you ever find out if or when it was awarded.
