I found this 1999 wide AM penny today in my box of pennies. I looked it up on google and it said it was worth up to $250 in AU condition. Mine is in excellent condition. Has anyone else found one of these?

GREAT FIND!!! I have found 3 1999 Wide AM's and a bunch of 1998's & 2000's. I sold one of my AU 1999 Wide AM's to a local dealer for $115. Unless you get it certified it will be hard to find someone willing to pay much more than that. The 2000 Wide AM's book for $49 in AU, but they sell on Ebay all the time for about $5.00.

The 1999 is BY FAR the hardest of the Wide AM's to find. I searched Hundreds of thousands of pennies before I found one. I have found more Indian Heads than 1999 Wide AM's if that tells you anything.

Again that is an excellent find.

Happy Hunting,
Jason

Congratulations great find.... I have found three 1999 wide AMs and 7 more 2000 and 1998s... The Internet prices range from $25 to $500 but most of the actual sales prices are around $100... So Shake-N-Bake is right on the money... I traded the worst of mine (VG) with a dealer got 5 pounds of bulk foreign coins ($25-$50 based on ebay prices) .... Still sorting them but so far very happy with the deal, about 30% of them are pre-50s with a good country mix and few commemoratives I have been looking for a while... Not much interest for 98 and 2000... Also, mine came in bunches found all in a 3-4 week period and nothing ever since... So watch your eyes more may be on the way...

What is this???? Pics or an explaination please.
Thanks and H,
Frank
