Went out to three cellar holes that have been hunted by others in the past. There were three of us detecting this time. Started at cellar hole 1, then cellar hole 3 where I found a 1900 Indian Head penny, then cellar hole 2 where I found nothing. We went back to cellar hole 1, the most accessible one near the trail. After 20 minutes of working the heavy iron laden area I pulled up a beautiful little 1853 three cent piece. My first ever. It was about 3" deep and was just a tiny blip amongst the iron. I got lucky with this one and am very pleased with such a nice find to add to my display. Also found a ton of lead bullet pieces and rust....
