Awhile back while doing some second hand shopping I was in a small resale shop and they had a small bowl full of junk jewelry on there counter. While I was checking out I looked in it and found a small packet with a stone in it. It had a fine jewelers label on the packet that I recognised. It looked like a Cubic Zirconium until I took it out of the packet and realised it what it was. My mother was a lapidarest so I grew up knowing stones and cuts and I knew it was a Round Brillant Cut Diamond. I asked the lady how much for it and she said a dollar! I never weighed it till last year and it's a 2K! Now I need to get a written appraisal, but I'm not in any hurry.
