Found a "Blob" of Platinum on the beach

Ok I was at the beach and i was up by the dunes almost, And i got a beep, when i looked down, i thought wow, thats a first, Since living in Cocoa Beach since 1983, I have never found a sharks tooth at the beach. I mean you can go down to the river, and find them all day long, i used to as a kid. but never found one at the beach, so i picked it up and was sifting the dirt where i had my beep. and i pull this odd thing out of the sand, it wasnt but maybe an inch below the sand, and i have no idea still what it is. I took it to a friend who has a jewelry store, and had it tested, and it came up as platinum. I thought ok cool, but what the hell is it! I have already done what most of you are thinking, and i have checked it over with a fine tooth comb, there are no markings, there are no letters, there are no engravings, there is nothing! Its not even a piece of jewelry that has been bent up! its just a damn blob of platinum! So any ideas what i found?!!

What you have is a Turkish Wedding Ring or Puzzel Ring. There are 4 sections to your ring and when put together it forms a ring with a kind of overlaping figure 8. We saw alot of them backin the Navy in the 1970's
