It's a very fun beach it is that "New" Beach.
Cleaning up my finds I discovered an interesting military button. It was well worn but I could read CANADA on it. I took many photos bvut could not read the apparent motto. I took a few dozen photos but still could not make out the writing. Thanks to Google..I was able to discover the same button and have that one shown here as well as my cruddy one. Found in the California surf about 4" deep with the PI.
This was a general service button used in the Canadian Military between 1939 and 1945.
