After work, I had about 10 min. To hunt. I found a couple points. This being the best point.

And a cool axe. I thought it was a spade at first, but it was slick or polished all over on one side, where a spade will have a spot on the bit that is outstanding. Can any of you tell me what type axe this is? And, why is it slick on one side and flaked on the other?

hi there nc,not sure that one was finnished, looks like some wide edges but i really do not know.could just be a head knocker nice finds though and thanks for sharing.

If I was gonna call it anything, I'd call it a crude Guilford axe but it's on the large side even for that. Large chipped axe is another possibility.

Yeah I have to agree on it being a ax of some kind. @ MO those must be your favorite words cause that is all I ever see you post.

This one may well be as Jamey said above. Unfinished!! It is ground on one side and chipped on the other. I have another piece like this one, found in the same area, but it is really thin material. I'll take some pics of it in a few. I think these are not axes for cutting or chopping, but for protection. The one above may be for the kill, and the thin frail one for a wake up knock up side the head. ?? Thanks for helping fellas!!
