Found a face digging lol.. Also war of 1812, Civil War and Colonial relics.

I had no idea what this was when I first dug it up. Its a butt cap to a 18th century flintlock pistol. This is where the face comes in. lol

I really hate "face digging"...

Sand in my mouth last for hours and sometimes even days.

that's really cool. I read about those being on some British made pistols from about 1750-1780-ish. Excellent find, congrats!

back in the day of flintlock pistols you had one shot then it became a club
those buttcap grotesques were the last thing some people saw....before he reloaded! lol
