Found a GOLD ring today and my detector broke !!! Rings #38 & #39

I did some digging the last two day :blob6: . Yesterday only clad ( $17.49 ) and two wheats , 1945 & 1958D ;D. Today was a gold and bad day .(EAGLEFORCE) Ryan , Carson my Son and I hunted a school field hoping for gold and silver . We found it ! I found a nice 14K gold ring with 13 small diamonds :headbang: . Ryan found a 10K ring and a nice 925 silver bracelet . Total clad for myself is $12.32 and my Son Carson found $1.18 . This hunt would have been great but here comes the bad :BangHead: . My Whites M6 is broken :'( . I'll need to send it off to Whites and get it fixed . The tone ID and depth toggle is broken and stuck . I knew it would happen due to it being very loss lately . So for now I'll need to use my old trusty Whites Quantum II . I have had it 15 years and it keeps on going :icon_thumright: .

hey can you post your trash too? I'm just wondering how much of the bad you sort through to find these great rings you keep finding!!!! I'm only up like 3 rings this year -only one being silver, the other two junkers! (and you have found almost 40!) wow! outstanding, you must be in a great area for finding rings!

do you usually hit the schools or tot lots? what's my best strategy to become a ring master like you? I really want to find more gold rings- no secret to it is there? just dig all the pull tabs signals?

I got luckier - I only found 12 cents, but my detector didn't break!

I like it too :icon_thumright: I don't find them very often so it's nice when one pops up ;D . I should have the M6 up and running by next weekend . It turns out to be a part that I can replace at home . I ordered it and it should be here by Wednesday :hello2:

I always make sure I have second detector just for these situations. Hope you get it back quickly.

Conrats on the gold.

If it is the pinpoint toggle switch that broke it is very easy to fix. I had mine break a few months ago on my DFX. Had White's mail me a new switch and it took me all of 5 minutes to replace. Once you open up the clam case the switch just unplugs and you plug the new one in then close up the case. No need to mail in the detector and wait for them to fix then mail back. I think I got the switch in two days once I ordered it. If your detector is still covered by White's I would have them do it...mine is rather old...lol.

Just a bit of info on the M6 it has a solder type toggle switch, three wires, very easy to disassemble and solder a new one in. If you dont get along well with the solder gun, bring it to a good electronics repair shop, they should do it for ten bucks or less, it only takes ten minutes to do. Good luck...

Another ring.......and its gold. Amazing. Too bad about the detector. The good news is Whites has great Customer Service. I am curious to see how you do with your back up detector. FYI... I am at 6 rings for the year with one gold. I am gunning for you!
