🏆 HONORABLE MENTION Found a new cell phone and returned to the owner…..

Was at a Lake Michigan beach detecting and one of the first finds of the day was a new LG cell phone. I turned it on, it powered up then turned off. We put it on the charger in the truck and went back to detecting. On the way home I turned it on again, and it was locked so I could not look in the contacts but noticed a little message going across the screen. It said "If found call this number" So I called and it was the dad of the young man who lost it. Turns out dad had bought it 8 hours before his son lost it. Well I got his address and sent it back to Chicago the next day. They were glad to get it back, even sent a thank you note with $20 inside it.
