found a nice chunk of scrap silver

Went out for a bit before the rain hit. Found a few relics. Best score of the day was this silver watch back. My guess its made from coin silver.

Definitely a muzzle loading rifle or musket trigger guard. The hole in the front is for a sling swivel. Civilian guns mostly didn't have slings, so odds are it's off of a military weapon. That's a neat find. I've found a few gun parts, but never the entire thing.

Thats a pretty neat idea!!I always seem to find just the trigger guard so I have a quite a few of them.....hmmmm
