Okay! let's see it!!!

this sucks gonna have to get a new camera mine quit working gonna go back up to the barn and do some more digging tomorrow. how deep should a person dig down when looking for artifacts found a bunch of charcoal down at about 2 1/2 feet would there be and arrowheads mixed in with it?

Are you finding any Shell or Bone? I would definitely dig through the charcoal layer and make sure you sift all the dirt.

ok cool im gonna take up some more floorboards tomorrow since the weather is nasty and cold im in the dry and out of the wind how deep down would you dig bout 3 feet is all a person can dig here until ya hit solid rock could a person find stuff all the way down to solid rock

Alot of larger items might actually be collected on top of the hardpan. If three feet gets you there I would check for sure..at least to know for sure..then you can know where the majority of your finds come from for future reference.

ok ty

Darn, camera's! Good Luck on the diggin. :icon_thumright:

thanks old digger
