I had been hunting with a friend before with no luck. When I finally went out again this is what popped out of the concrete hard ground. Also a pic of what it is supposed to look like in better shape... Pin reads "Semper Paratus". Keep in mind that the ground was very hard since we have had no rain lately and I kinda hit the pin with the shovel :dontknow: oh well

This site says it's an Army crest--12th Cavalry
http://www.vanguardmil.com/army-crest-12th-cavalry-semper-paratus-p-855.html
Wiki calls it the Distinctive Unit Insignia of the 12th Cav.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12th_Cavalry_Regiment_(United_States)
Note this quote from Wiki: "As of 1933, the Squadron was headquartered at Fort Ringgold, near Rio Grande City, the Second of the 12th rode patrols along the southern border for almost forty years under different headquarters."
Isn't that in your back yard?
Don......

Im as close to the border as it gets. Found that pin in Donna, TX.

No. Its like as is Mustang Cobra. Never served in the military.

I remember 12th Cav at Fort Knox wearing this Distinctive Unit Insignia. It is still current. I was last at Fort Knox in 1997.
