Found a small white and lavender pearl !

I found something really strange, well sort of found it. Not with the detector, and my Daughter in law thought she broke a tooth on it.

I took them clamming this morning, we got a whole mess of steamer clams and a few natives and twin necks. We boiled them all up till the shells opened and while dipping them in hot butter and eating them Tina my daughter in law grabs her mouth and pops out this small (maybe 4mm) lavender and white pearl.

I have never heard of a pearl in a clam, but we now have one. There is no where else it could have come from. Anyone else ever heard of anything like this?

I will post pics soon as I take them again, for some reason my memory chip from the phojne was blank.

Yep a clam can produce a pearl and it is a rare find

Sounds cool, I've always wanted that to happen, but I dont eat clams lol I would love to see the pictures

I wanna see that little sucker too sounds pretty. You might have to get it set as a pendant or something for your daughter in law.

Probably not for a while, tides are kinda bad for clamming now
