Found a Spoon Today, and it looks Quite Old. Can Anyone Confirm?

I haven't posted here in a while, mostly because of a combination of school and this lovely NY winter we've been having. Managed to get out today to a spot I've pounded in the past, which has 3 or 4 cellar holes in close proximity.

The only noteworthy find of the day was this spoon. I probably dig more spoons than anything, but this one looks much older than any other one I've found. You can see there's a heart on the front side.

I'm hoping someone can chime in on its possible age. Also, is it pewter? It's sort of a grayish color.

Now that's a really cool looking spoon bowl!
The heart and shell motif make it just that different I would say it is pewter and probably dates to the late 1700s perhaps early 18s
