Primary Interest:
Prospecting
I was prospecting near the Utah border this week. Friday morning I was checking out a gravel mound along a hillside, and found this. It's the nicest specimen I've found this year. It's about 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". The dark material can be scratched with a knife. The remainder is quartz, which makes up the bulk of the specimen. I'm going back down there. I'd like to find some more of this material.
