I was trying to hunt a cellar hole but too many bugs, as soon as i saw this little blob top sticking out of the dirt i called
it a day. embossed "BOTTLE SEAL Co PAT`85 BALTo Md my research puts it about 1885 to 1892 when they changed the company name due to newer patents. I guess this bottle had a little stopper that fit inside for reuse. sorry for the pics, i always find it hard to photo glass.

NICE FIND !!!! Congrats !!!! It looks to me like it has what is called a Baltimore loop seal type closure on your bottle. There should be a groove inside the neck where a round rubber seal with 2 wire loops to pull it out would have been.
