Just a little background on this. About 6 years ago I asked a guy I worked with if I could look for arrowheads on his place, he lives near a river, and farms quite a bit of land. He said him and his wife didn't really like people back there but would let me know if he changed his mind. Well Tuesday he walked up to me and asked me if I wanted to look, he was getting ready to seed one of the fields in grass this spring that had arrowheads on it. I said sure how about tonight. So I did. I looked in a ditch that had a lot of rock in it down to the field where there was still bean stubble in it, found a lot of flint and a few broken pieces but nothing else. So I walked across an old road bed that led to the river and found the broken drill in the first picture. I checked out the other field without any luck so I went back the the road and started looking on it and found it. I'm guessing it's a drill but checking on the internet found it kind of looks like a cobb knife also but don't know if they are even in Missouri. What do you think? I took a few more pictures at home with a little better light.

It would be a Stanfield instead of Cobbs with that base, but I'm not sure it's a Stanfield either. Nice finds.

Matt beat me to it, but I was thinking Stanfield as well.

Nice Blade, no matter what the type.

Congrats on the finds and thanks for the pictures.

sweet piece llentry, looks like a cobbs knife drill to me, there's one just like it in the most recent overstreets guide, i forget which region, just my opinion, whatever it is, she's a killer.
