I found this at a 1920's house along side some Civil War bullets and stuff. Is this old or new? What in the world is it from? Thanks for any info..

Grommet from a tarp. Probably a canvas tarp. I find hundreds of these around our small farm.

With some items it's hard to place a date within hundreds of years or just yesterday.

Along with grommets you can add tack, horseshoes, oxen shoes, forged square nail, buckles, and the like.

For instance, I have boxes of old fashioned square nails recently forged and still available.
