My buddy found this copper relic at known civil war site although I am thinking maybe its post war by the globe design in middle? Very thin made of copper. Any ideas?

I don't believe it is associated with the Civil War as it appears to be a thin badge used by some branch of the UN or other service/organization that used "UNIC" on their' badges. Being so thin, it may have been given out to children that toured a facility.

I believe the word JUNIOR Is below the eagle, strongly supporting it being a toy

Looks like that could be it. Definitely does not seem like its a quality relic.
