Whats the thing on the bottom?
For size reference those buckles are 1 inch square.
Someone on FB said rein guide.
I have looked at thousands of rein guide pictures and haven't seen anything like this.

The round piece with the eye looks like part of a single tree, but without a measurement it may be too small?

I don't think its a bit. It's a totally different shape than the picture and there are pieces of leather in the grooves.
