Re: Found At Old FarmHouse In Va 1811 5o c. piece

you need an editing program to resize pics (usually you have one with the software given for the cam) or windows has one in the programs on your computer.

can't wait to see the pics

Welcome to TreasureNet... and congrats on some great finds!

You asked about the value of the coins. An 1811 Capped Bust half dollar (either large or small 8 ) is worth $100 in Fine condition; an 1811/10 in the same grade is worth $125+.

I don't know what the stuff is worth but Beautiful finds. I don't think you can put a price on them. Congrats

Im not worried about selling them i would just like to know all of the coins are in pretty good condition

Hang on to them, someplace secure, like a safety deposit box,and when you are old like me.
You will have a nice little nest egg and a lot of memories.
Out standing finds.

Those are great finds. I would be spending all of my spare time there to see if there is any more.

Im kind of out of it for six weeks, i wrestle abnd i broke my leg at a tournament last saturday, so i figure i have some research time because im on crutches but as soon as i heal ill be back along to some of my other spots

Great finds and what a coin.

Awesome finds and congrats! Probably more there, a silver dime can sound like crap sometimes. The coins are worth a lot but I don't know exactly, a quick internet search will help. HH, Mike

Bummer about your leg. Hope you are able to get back out to your sites asap. You've found some very interesting things. The value is always determined by the price someone is willing to pay. The silver coins will probably continue to increase in value through the years, hang onto them. The other items are a little hard to see in the photos. The round rusty things may not be bullets. Again, hard to see in the pix.

The only problem is, if you get as old as PAPA, you'll forget where your safety deposit box is. ;D
You are off to a terrific start, and YES, I'm jealous. ::) Some great coins you found there.
Keep up the good work.

Sorry to hear about the broken leg.

Those are some mighty cool finds! If you want clearer photos, do a google search of your camera. Then look up the operating manual.
Under "Macro", it should give you simple directions.

I didn't think my camera had macro, but it turned out to be one simple button. ;)

I really like the dollar pendant.

You did very well! I would keep hunting that spot and continue to check areas that were close to the what ever water source they used for that homesite. Good luck with your leg, I hope you are back to normal asap. Tsgman
