A friend hid 12 oz of placer gold in an overcoat pocket a few years back, his wife died ,and he donated her clothes and some of his, including the overcoat to Goodwill, as he'd for gotten about the gold. Later he remembered it, contacted them, they said they'd watch for it, but he never got it back.
