Found either a mess hall or a dump

[Lafitte]

Finds from an old army base. Either a mess hall area, or a camp dump, I'm not sure. Mostly wooded now. 2 nice 44 wheats and a 42 nickel.
The prop and wing button looks familiar, but I can't place the insignia.

Great finds!
Is that Mccord? I was at Ft. Lewis in 83.
BEUTIFUL area you live in.
Flew out of Mccord to head to Yakima...

Stoney is correct.... It is an Army Collar disc worn on the lapel of the dress uniform....More than likely and officer.

Is it legal to hunt there? That would be a great place to hunt if it is. Literally seconds away from my house.

Definitely an Arm Air Corps collar disc, but for an enlisted man rather than an officer. Stoney's link shows both, the officer's version being on the bottom of the first picture. Looks like a great place to detect!

Thanks for the info. The location would be consistent with AA corps.
