found this 1911 shotgun shell. Not much but I had never seen one like this.




My buddy thinks this is a part of a trigger. Looks to me its a square nail...only I have never dug a square nail so I am no expert.

I think you're right on with the nail ID - not a trigger.

Cool shotgun brass. Typically I hate digging those but I'd take that one any day.

I dig them all the time too. I thought this one was unique. Never seen one like it before.
