Found this little guy in a swimming area. It is 9/16" x 1/8" not including the spring steel wire.
The wire can spin around in the groove. Maybe out of a fishing reel?
What say you?

Thanks.

Hell yeah, Now i can fix my boat!!!!! lol.

Funny thing is, I have found a few of those over the years at a swimming hole by the marina here in VA,Only one with the spring intact though.I always thought they were some sort of valve for a propane tank or something, Kool I.d., Now just figure out which carb it came out of and put it on ebay,The owner can fix his broken down thing a ma bob, with your newly discovered thing a ma jig
