I got one older than yours. Mine takes 14 batteries. You better get some rechargeable batteries for that or you'll be in the poor house in no time. I like to us mine around parking meters.

A buddy of mine has that same one and finds just as much good stuff with his as my Matrix M6. Its all about how you use it and get to know it. nice gind!
