Hi everyone...I havent been out too much lately, Working too much...Friday night did some research on an old colonial site ... So on saturday we headed out looking for the site....It took about an hour to locate the cellar...It only took 5 minutes to figure it has been well pounded....The first 3 hours only produced 4 shotgun shells...I was hoping to find Buttons...Buckles...Or a Copper...But this site was working out...We decided to stay anyways...Im glad we did, after 5 hours of hunting we dug about 6 targets each...My buddy got a nice colonial cufflink...I got a tiny thimble...and just over an old stone wall..I dug this sweet 8 Reale...It is in great shape :icon_thumleft: The first 2 pics are from my buddys iphone uncleaned...Took it home and soaked the dirt off in water only...I am very happy with the way it turned out. :icon_thumleft:

Now that is a sweet hunk of silver!

I wonder how many people heard that big signal in their headphones, said "aluminum can" to themselves and kept detecting without digging to find out what it could be.

One of the first coins circulated in the United States. Certainly except for gold coinage, the most readily accepted anywhere in the United States. Oddly, not worth all that much, even in the exceptional condition I would call this coin.

One of the coins I would love to find someday. Everyone should have a list of dream coins!

Congratulations on finding such a beauty!

That's my personal holy grail. If I find one of those in my lifetime I will be a happy man. I found my first and only 2 half reales within 5 minutes of each other. But so far that's it.
I say BANNER.
