Hi all, the weather here's been pretty crappy lately with all the rain, but I managed to detect between the raindrops today..the ground was muddy so I checked out some park playground areas..I found this ring sticking out of the sand near the swings.
I've been going out to look for rings on purpose this year, so I guess that's why I've been finding what I think is my share lately..earlier someone wanted to see them all, so here they are..
On March 20 I almost died when I dug this up..I always wanted one of those gold nugget rings, and I was so sure this was gold, until I took it to a jeweler and he called it J-U-N-K:
Well, I thought the ring was gorgeous, so I asked my wife if she would have it taken in to get the 3 missing CZ replaced and have it polished for my birthday. My wife knew a gal from work who knew a reputable (and more friendly) jeweler where she lived, so she took it to him and he did the work for $30. This jeweler actually said that the ring was a "good find" and also said that it was composed of nickel and silver and had a gold overlay.
Here's the 925 silver rings I found:
The ones below are, back row): 18KT gold electroplate,10K gold, plated gold. Front row: plated gold, gold plate over sterling.
These are the junkier ones, but a couple are kind of nice..the one on top right is chrome..one other ring (mood ring) is not pictured.
