Hi all, the weather here's been pretty crappy lately with all the rain, but I managed to detect between the raindrops today..the ground was muddy so I checked out some park playground areas..I found this ring sticking out of the sand near the swings.

I've been going out to look for rings on purpose this year, so I guess that's why I've been finding what I think is my share lately..earlier someone wanted to see them all, so here they are..

On March 20 I almost died when I dug this up..I always wanted one of those gold nugget rings, and I was so sure this was gold, until I took it to a jeweler and he called it J-U-N-K:

Well, I thought the ring was gorgeous, so I asked my wife if she would have it taken in to get the 3 missing CZ replaced and have it polished for my birthday. My wife knew a gal from work who knew a reputable (and more friendly) jeweler where she lived, so she took it to him and he did the work for $30. This jeweler actually said that the ring was a "good find" and also said that it was composed of nickel and silver and had a gold overlay.

Here's the 925 silver rings I found:

The ones below are, back row): 18KT gold electroplate,10K gold, plated gold. Front row: plated gold, gold plate over sterling.

These are the junkier ones, but a couple are kind of nice..the one on top right is chrome..one other ring (mood ring) is not pictured.

Awesome finds, Nate! I can't wait to see your ring once it is "detailed". Excellent choice for you.

Very cool Nat....I'm at 10 so far and hopefully picking up speed....Nice job!!

Nat, awesome year going. Hope you continue your streak. Rain just moved in this afternoon in our area and is supposed to hang around for a week. We need it though. I'll have to sneak in some hunts between drops as well. Maybe use Silverswedes idea and go detect under some bridges.

HH and WTG on all your rings this year

Man, you have found some real heart-stoppers Nat. Congrats on your latest silver beauty! Love that one!!! Keep em coming, good luck my friend!

Smiles!

Nice rings Nat. They remind me of some of the ones I've found over the years. Keep finding 'em.

You will, you will! Do they have high school football fields in Oregon? Try it...I found 2 in one day at my old high school.

HH,
Nat

WOW! That's a lot of rings for just a few months. Congrats.

To all those who have yet to find a ring, don't dispair. Try these places: swimming holes, lakeshores, baseball fields and parking areas, football fields and parking areas, soccer fields and parking areas, and gravel parking areas of bars/taverns/saloons. Why these places? Because people 1)run, jump, catch, fall down; 2)people drink and start waving their arms around, or 3) they get into the water and their fingers tend to shrink - off drop the rings.

congrats nat looks like you are having a great ring year, and congrats to the newest additon to the ring family

Not too shabby a collection. Where's the big solid 14K wedding bands? You know, the kind that you have to pay about $300 for. That's what I'm looking for.

Nice bunch of rings! I found my first 3 a few days ago so I know they are out there. Around here they don't let you dig in the football/soccer fields. Congrats!

U are a ring magnet....I have found a few junk ones but not as many as you...keep it up...

WOW-WOW I CAN'T IMAGINE THAT MANY RINGS ALREADY,
I'VE YET TO FIND ONE OTHER THAN A DIMESTORE CHILD RING.
EXCELLENT
