I really didn't think it would be like this though. This was at an old school site in Missouri. Never expected to find a 2011 $1 there. Found a wheat penny also. That button was deep. Not sure what it's made of but it made my Equinox 600 think it was a quarter. The school still had see saws and swings so my kids were happy. Only had time to dig 3x.

Welcome to the Forum and congrats !
I've only ever found 6 of them in 12 yrs. of serious detecting - but I mainly hunt older sites.
The newer one dollar coins are cool finds - they cleanup real nice with some Extra Fine Steel Wool.

Congrats on your first dollar coin. There's not too many out there but you'll get some more for sure. We got 8 of them this year.

Nice find, congrats! :occasion14:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice. Congrats on the dollar find - still looking for my 1st.

Way better than digging 100 Lincoln Cents!

nice. i only found 1 in my first 4 years. then this year i found 3 in a sand volley ball court. they are elusive.

I have found 13 of the small $1 coins, they do clean up well when tumbled with clad quarters.
