I started coin rolling a couple of weeks ago. i enjoy pennies. I finally got an odd one, a 1998 wide AM. I'm curious about the marking on its side, i wonder if that was done by some coin machine sorter. Also, since i am new to this, can someone offer me some advice, is it worth sending out for grading?

Nice "Wide AM" Cent find! As far as the edge, it appears that the coin suffered a strike by a reeded coin such as a Dime or Quarter.

Nice find! By the way, it's a variety, not an error.
