Found near an old ghost town. What is it?

I found this object last year near an old ghost town. My family knows the guy who owns the property that the ghost town is on, so I’ll probably see if I can metal detect there once the ground unfreezes. But near his property is an old collapsed house, I have looked there with my metal detector a couple times but I haven’t found anything interesting. This object just caught my eye and I’ve been wondering what it is.
