Found near civil war hideout in Missouri. Military badge/pin/ or old toy badge?

Back down in Missouri to the old 1870`s school foundation and Barn used in civil war for hideout. Horseback ride from jesse James home. Have found a bunch lately, will post other finds later. What the heck is this though? found this yesterday. Appears broken at bottom. Old Pot metal.
