Hi I'm new here I don't own a metal detector myself but while visiting my parents for the holidays I decided to try out my dads. I was walking thru the woods on their property finding nothing more than a few old nails etc when I came to a small stream about ankle deep or less with a mostly sandy bottom. I started walking through it and the detector went off. The sandy substrate was loose enough for me to just plunge my hand into, and I did until I found a necklace, dumbfounded I ran back to the house , cleaned it off and have been wearing it ever since. It is real silver, not sure what the stones are. There are no makers markings or markings of any kind. And so I havnt been able to find out much about it. It comes apart in 4 pieces. More than anything I would love if someone could identify the symbol on the pendant portion on the necklace. Hours of sifting thru Google images hasnt yielded anything for me.
typing marcasite jewelry for men into google brings up almost an exact copy of the necklace I found as the first picture(I'll add to post) minus the large pendant and symbol unfortunately though.
