I am not sure--I may have had my eyes dilated today, by an unknown someone while I was sleeping--but could that be a fire agate?? If so, primo find.
 

Differences in color between first and last photos suggests the featured object may be nacre (mother-of-pearl), possibly from abalone or mussel-shell. If nacre, should have some iridescence - try looking that up online for photographic examples. Nacre can come from a wide variety of sources, and each will look different.

Sorry to be so indefinate, but I can't make out more details from photos.
 

Tough one to id from those pix.
Looks too thick for MOP, but has a similar appearance.
From what I see of the markings, eastern Europe maybe :icon_scratch:
Fire agates come from southwest USA..
Here's a photo of each.
All I can say fershure is Nice Find :thumbsup:
